WVU Football: Mountaineers get back on practice field

The Mountaineers were back on the practice field Tuesday as spring football drills 2017 roll on.

The Mountaineer football team got back on the practice field Tuesday.

Dana Holgorsen's seventh set of spring drills finds the Mountaineers coming off a 10-3 season.

"it's all a work in progress, we know who are players are. I think we've got talented individuals," Holgorsen said. "We need depth right now during spring. Just trying to piece together a lineup we can practice some with."

"We're on pace. I think we're doing really well right now. Everybody is enjoying spring ball so far. I think we're in a good spot everybody is having fun. We're all enjoying playing football again," lineman D.J. Carozza said.

"We had a great year, we just didn't finish. That's one of the main motivators for us really. We had a great year. We could have had a spectacular year at 11-2, but we didn't so that motivates our team to be even better this year," said Elijah Wellman, a senior tight end.
