WVU Basketball: Adrian to compete in All-Star game at Final Four

Morgantown native Nate Adrian will be at the Final Four this weekend, competing in the Reese's All-Star Game.

While it isn't exactly what he had hoped for, WVU's Nate Adrian will be playing basketball at the site of the NCAA's Final Four.

Adrian, a Morgantown native who was instrumental in leading WVU to the Sweet 16, will compete in the Reese's Division I All-Star Game on Friday in Glendale, Arizona.

Adrian will suit up for the West team coached by Colorado's Tad Boyle. The East team's head coach is Georgia Tech's Josh Pastner.

Among Adrian's teammates are Deonte Burton of fellow Big 12 member Iowa State, UCLA's Bryce Alford and Derek Wells of Kentucky.

Adrian's Mountaineers lost in the Sweet 16 to Gonzaga, who reached the Final Four and will play the first game Saturday inside University of Phoenix Stadium against South Carolina.

Oregon and North Carolina meet in the other semifinal.

The national championship is set for this coming Monday night.
