West Virginia handles Coppin State after slow start

West Virginia beat Coppin State, 77-38, Wednesday.

No.10 West Virginia took care of winless Coppin State in Morgantown, 77-38, Saturday.

The Mountaineers didn't hit the 10-point mark until the 9:08 mark in the first half after a Daxter Miles Jr. hit a three to build their lead 11-8.

Teddy Allen's 24 points aided the Mountaineers (10-1) to their 10th victory of the season.

West Virginia will host Fordham at Noon, Saturday.

They will then open conference play at Oklahoma State on December 29th.
