Grier Knocked Out, Mountaineers Lose To Texas
The Mountaineers suffered a double whammy Saturday afternoon when quarterback Will Grier was knocked out of the game in the first quarter in a 28-14 loss to Texas. Grier broke a finger on his throwing hand in the first quarter when he dove for the endzone. He did not return. Chris Chugonov took Grier's place and struggled going 14 of 26 for 189 yards. West Virginia was held to a season low 295 yards of offense in the loss. Texas becomes bowl eligible with the win for the first time since 2014.
