WV Power: Extra innings result in same old results for Power

The West Virginia Power suffered a second straight 11-inning loss on Monday, this time at the hands of Asheville by a final of 5-1.

For a second straight game the West Virginia Power went 11 innings.

And for a second straight game they fell in defeat.

The Power opened a three-game series with the Asheville Tourists on Monday evening and battled to a 1-1 tie after nine innings.

In the top of the 11th, the Tourists plated four runs for the victory.

The 5-1 loss sends the Power to 0-5 on the season. The two go at it Tuesday night. Game time is set for 7:05.
