MEC Women's Tournament Semifinal

The 2017 MEC Women's Tournament Championship is set after a pair of semifinal games on Saturday.

In the first semifinal it was fifth seed Fairmont State knocking off eighth seeded UC 71-57. The Falcons led by double digits the entire second half. Deidra Combs led FSU with 23 points. UC's Abby Watson had 15 points in a losing effort.

In the second semifinal second seed Wheeling Jesuit took out third seed UVA-Wise 74-68. The Cardinals erased a five point deficit with just over seven minutes to play to get the win. Wheeling Jesuit had five players score in double figures led by 17 from Jaana motton.

Fairmont State and Wheeling Jesuit will meet at 1pm Sunday for the MEC Women's Championship.
