Local high school football games rescheduled as Harvey makes way to West Virginia
CHARLESTON, WV (WCHS/WVAH) —
Three local high school football games have been moved up as remnants of Hurricane Harvey are expected to move into West Virginia.
Harvey is expected to move into West Virginia Friday morning and most areas could see 2 to 2.5 inches of rain by midnight Friday.
Because heavy rain is expected, three local high school games have been moved to Thursday.
Riverside and Capital will face off at 7 p.m. Thursday at UC Stadium in Charleston.
George Washington will be traveling to Kentucky to take on Ashland-Blazer at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Ashland is expected to see more than 2 inches of rain Friday as well.
Hurricane was set to take on Paintsville, Ky., but that game was also moved up. That game will kickoff at 7 p.m. Thursday.
At this time, not other games have been rescheduled.
If you are headed out to any games this week, send us your videos and photos here. We want to see the your tailgates, students sections, bands, and everything else that surrounds West Virginia high school football.
