High School Baseball: Midland and Hurricane to play for MSAC title
There's just a few miles between the high schools at Hurricane and Cabell Midland.
Tuesday evening the two neighbors will get together for a championship.
The two punched tickets into the Mountain State Athletic Conference title game with semifinal victories on Monday evening at Hurricane's Lola Meeks Field.
In the first game of the evening, the homestanding Redskins knocked off a much-improved Capital program with a 13-3 win.
In the nightcap, Midland jumped on top of George Washington in the first inning and went on to post an 8-2 victory.
Hurricane and Midland will meet at 7. GW and Capital, two rivals from Charleston, will square off in the consolation game.
