Note that ABC allows for internships for college students only. They offer college credit, but no salary is paid. ABC asks if you write, be sure to include the days of the week and the number of hours you would be available.

ABC tells us they do not accept unsolicited scripts or script ideas. Your best bet would be to acquire the services of an agent.

Where can I send a letter to my favorite show or star or get an autograph?

For ABC programs you should write to the production company for the specific show. ABC does not have fan photos.

For syndicated programs we broadcast, please select the show from our Programs Starbase. If an address is available, you should write to the show directly.

How can I get tickets to see a taping of a show?

Some of the ABC shows have tickets available. Many of the shows broadcast are taped in Los Angeles. If you plan to be in the area, call Audiences Unlimited at 818-506-0043.

What happened to the [fill in the blank] primetime show?

It's a fact of life that shows come and go. Sometimes the stars of the show want to move on to some other project, sometimes a production company decides to call it a wrap, and sometimes the general public decides when very few people watch a show. We at WCHS-TV8 don't keep track of why a particular show gets cancelled. If you are looking for the details we can suggest TV Guide, USA Today or checking with fan sites across the Internet.

Some of your favorite shows may return during the late summer months for encore presentations. And, frequently, shows that have been on the air for more than a couple seasons will be broadcast again as a syndicated program. A syndicator sells local TV stations like WCHS-TV8 the rights to re-broadcast a program. For example, WCHS-TV8 and WVAH bring you past episodes of Grace Under Fire, Roseanne, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Seinfeld, The Drew Carey Show and lots more. I missed a show and want to get a videotape! How can I do that?

Sorry, but ABC doesn't offer sitcoms and dramas on videocassette. In most all cases, ABC does not own the program and does not have the rights to distribute VHS tapes. The same thing applies to WCHS-TV. We are only granted a license to broadcast the show. We do not tape the shows and we are not licensed to distribute any VHS tapes.

Frequently, movies and mini-series are released on video tape and DVD after they are broadcast. You should check with your local video store or a movie store online.

What kind of [fill in the blank for an item] was featured on last week's episode of [fill in the blank for a show]?

We rarely, if ever, get detailed information about items used in producing a show. Even if we did, we broadcast far too many shows to be able to keep track of specific clothing, props, locations used in a show. How to write to the stars

Very few shows and even fewer stars maintain a public email address. (Or at least an address they will admit to!) Consider how you would feel about tens of thousands of people sending you email, and just how upset you would be if you didn't get a prompt reply.

The facts of life are that you can rarely, if ever, send mail and expect a personal reply from anyone in a major starring role whether it is on television, radio or movies.

However, you can always send mail to the star in care of the production company that produces the show that the star appears in. Virtually all the production companies maintain a staff that reads and answers mail for the program and the stars. Some personalities expect that copies of all mail is sent to them, others will have copies of mail sent to their own staff and still others will only read mail that someone has deemed of special interest to the star.

So send your mail! Someone will always read it and, who knows, you may just get a personal answer from your favorite star!

Look above at the list of shows and production companies and find the show you are interested in. If an email address is available, it will be shown in addition to the U.S. Mail address. If there is no email address shown, there is not one available!
