Get your kids outside and into hunting

"They just enjoy hunting, it gets them used to nature."

Dale loves taking these kids hunting. Two girls, one boy and a common love of hitting the woods looking for..

"Hunting rabbits..."

"Deer, rabbits, squirrels mostly."

"Rabbit hunting, doing all that. Why is that fun? You can hunt with dogs. Is that more fun than deer hunting? Yeah."

The great thing about going after small game this time of year is going out and being able to stomp around and not worry about scaring the game away.

That's where daisy comes in.

Hannah Duffield says:
"She's just an amazing dog, we put her down on the grass and she hits them almost automatically."

Daisy is a little over a year old. She's still a pup, which makes this beagle the perfect hunting companion for these kids. They're all still learning and not taking anything too seriously.

Dale McCoy/Hunter says:
"I think a lot of it is for them to be out chasing and watching-they get a kick out of it, they play along.

Out like this they can talk and throw stuff, if they do carry a gun, I carry the shell with me so they aren't ever loaded."

But they are having fun and learning a new sport without having the pressure of staying still and being totally quiet.

Heck, if your dog can't be quiet, how can you expect your kids to be? We had a blast and you will too when you get your kids out looking for small game this winter.
