Dempsey puts Fulham into Europa League quarters March 18, 2010 4:15 PM LONDON Clint Dempsey scored the decisive goal in the 82nd minute as Fulham overturned a three-goal aggregate deficit to beat Juventus 4-1 on Thursday and reach the quarterfinals of the Europa League.
Leading 3-1 from the first leg, Juventus went further ahead when David Trezeguet scored in the second time. Bobby Zamora tied it in the ninth. After Fabio Cannavaro was ejected in the 28th, Zoltan Gera scored in the 39th and converted a penalty kick in the 49th. |
