Football Scrapbook: Dr. Steve Thaxton

He was a West Virginia state champion pole vaulter at Sissonville High School. He moved on to Texas Abilene Christian and won the NCAA Division II national pole vault title.

As a professional chiropractor he toured with the popular bands Guns-N-Roses and Bon Jovi.

He's competed around the world in mountain bike races.

Yet, nothing has ever meant more to Dr. Steve Thaxton than his days as a standout high school football player for the Sissonville Indians.

Mark Martin relives that time period with Dr. Thaxton in this edition of Friday Football Scrapbook.
