Heading into the Greenbrier Classic, Jonas Blixt had struggled on the links. He had made the cut in just half of the 16 tournaments entered during the 2013 season.
But after earning his way into the weekend action at The Classic, he took care of business.
Blixt came back from a four-shot deficit to claim the fourth crown of the Classic. He finished his round on Sunday at 3-under which put him at -13 for the four days.
He managed to overcome leader Johnson Wagner, who was at -14 heading into the final day. Wagner had to settle for a four-way tie for second at -11 with Matt Jones, Jimmy Walker and Steven Bowditch.
For a fourth straight year, The Greenbrier Classic had final day drama. A three-hour, eight-minute rain delay had the tournament in danger of having to go to Monday for a finish. But the last groups moved quickly and concluded their rounds virtually in darkness.
Blixt joins Stuart Appleby, Scott Stollings and Ted Potter, Jr. as champions of The Greenbrier Classic.
