The second round of the 2013 West Virginia Open is complete, as the 120-player field was cut to low 60 and ties. Scores 9-under-par and low will be moving on to the final round tomorrow.
Six-time Champion, David Bradshaw, leads the Championship by three strokes, where three amateur golfers trail behind with under-par scores. The Harpers Ferry pro shot two rounds of 69 to maintain his lead from yesterday’s round. Three strokes behind is recent high school grad, Woody Woodward, how shot the low round of the day at 5-under-par. Woodward will be attending Wake Forest this fall to compete on its golf team. Hurricane’s Sam O’Dell will be rounding out the final pairing group, where he also shot consistent rounds, falling in at 141 for his 36-hole total.
Senior golfer Scott Bibbee is in a three-way tie at 1-under-par, on track to win the Low Senior award—if not a finish in the top three. Eighteen-year-old, Alan Cooke is currently the low junior in the Championship, tied for ninth place at 1-over-par.
The final round of the 2013 West Virginia Open Championship will begin at 8 a.m. tomorrow morning, with the final pairing group teeing off at 11.
