The final chapter of West Virginia Conference basketball is set at the Charleston Civic Center Coliseum.
The championship contenders for the final men's and women's tournaments were decided on Friday.
Top seed and two-time defending champion West Liberty will collide with Fairmont State in the title game set for 3:15 of the 76th annual WVIAC Men's Tournament. West Liberty defeated Northern Panhandle rival and No. 4 seed Wheeling Jesuit while No. 2 Fairmont was an overtime winner against No. 3 seed Alderson-Broaddus in Friday's semifinals.
In the 34th annual WVIAC Women's Tournament title game it will be No. 3 seed Fairmont State going against No. 5 seed Seton Hill. Fairmont downed No. 2 West Liberty Friday afternoon while Seton Hill beat No. 9 seed UC. The tipoff is set for 1:07.
The conference is disbanding after this school year as members head to different leagues.
Meanwhile in high school basketball sectional play it was South Charleston, Hurricane, Huntington and Poca all winning in championship games. Regionals are set for next week.
