It's another national championship for West Virginia native Nick Saban.
On Monday night Saban's Alabama Crimson Tlde bolted to a 28-0 halftime edge and never looked back en route to a 42-14 victory over Notre Dame in the final BCS title game.
The Tide captured the victory in Miami, where Saban had worked as head coach of the NFL's Dolphins before leaving the pro game to return to the collegiate level.
A native of Monongah in Marion County, Saban now has four crowns to his credit as a college coach. He's led Alabama to the title in three of the last four years and also won a championship with LSU.
Notre Dame was after its first national championship since defeating West Virginia on New Year's Day of 1989 in the Fiesta Bowl.
