It's hard to tell when Syracuse and West Virginia might see each other again on the football field. But for now, Syracuse owns a three-game winning streak.
Syracuse topped the Mountaineers on Saturday at Yankee Stadium in the New Era Pinstripe Bowl, 38-14.
The win was the 33rd for Syracuse in a series that reached game number 60. West Virginia finishes 7-6 in the 2012 season - the second in the Dana Holgorsen era.
Prince-Tyson Gulley rushed for 208 yards and scored three touchdowns for the Orange. Meanwhile, the Syracuse defense made life miserable for Geno Smith and company. The defense registered two safeties in the game.
Smith and former high school teammate Stedman Bailey hooked for West Virginia's two touchdowns.
The win gives Syracuse, representing the Big East for the last time before heading off to the ACC, at 8-5.
