WVU Tech running back Josh Culbertson could possibly miss the 2009 football season for the Golden Bears. Culbertson injured his knee in a game against Union on October 4 and missed the rest of the '08 season.
Tuesday evening Tech head coach Scott Tinsley, who was also Culbertson's head coach at Nitro High School, said there is a possibility he could take a redshirt for '09.
Culbertson was Tech's leading rusher before the injury.
He was the Kennedy Award winner in 2005 as West Virginia's top high school player while leading the Wildcats to the Class AAA state championship game in Wheeling against Morgantown.
Culbertson played his first two years of college football for the University of Charleston before reuniting with Tinsley at Tech.
