I HUNTINGTON HOMICIDE
    ABSOLUTELY!

ONE DAD TOLD ME HIS *KIDS* WERE OUTSIDE PLAYING LAST NIGHT...WHEN HE HEARD THE GUN FIRE.

TONIGHT -- A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT TONE.

    VOTOPS

    04:03:48

    "THERE WERE POLICE CARS EVERYWHERE!"

FOR PEOPLE LIVING ON 26TH STREET IN HUNTINGTON, SATURDAY EVENING WAS FAR FROM THE NORM.

    NATS

    04:04:59

"IT MAKES ME FEEL SCARED! I DON'T WANT ANYONE COMING HERE AND KILLING ME! IT'S SCARY!"

HUNTINGTON POLICE ARE TRYING TO FIND A SUSPECT AFTER THEY WERE CALLED TO THIS HOUSE SATURDAY NIGHT ON REPORTS OF GUN FIRE.

--INSIDE THE FOUND A MAN IN HIS 30'S---DEAD FROM A GUNSHOT WOUND.

AS OF SUNDAY NIGHT--VICTIM HASN'T BEEN NAMED, AND POLICE ARE LOOKING FOR A MOTIVE.

THIS MAN, WHO DIDN'T WANT HIS FACE SHOWN...CALLED 9-1-1.

    04:13:34

"I HEARD TWO SHOTS...THEN FOUR...THEN I GRABBED MY KIDS AND STUFFED THEM IN THE HOUSE!!!"

    NATS "MOWER"

SHIRLEY COPLEY IS MOWING HER GRASS TO TRY AND TAKE HER MIND OFF OF WHAT HAPPENED ACROSS THE STREET...

LOOKING AT A CRIME SCENE SO CLOSE TO HOME--SHE DOESN'T FEEL SAFE...

    04:06:15

"MY SON IS GOING TO COME STAY WITH ME TONIGHT!"

AS POLICE TRY TO PIECE TOGETHER WHAT HAPPENED HERE--THIS NEIGHBORHOOD IS LIVING IN FEAR.

    04:14:27

"THE DOORS WILL STAY LOCKED! AND THE GIRLS WONT BE PLAYING CLOSE TO THE ROAD."

ONCE AGAIN I WANT TO STRESS THAT POLICE ARE *ONLY* CALLING THIS A HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION.

MORE CLUES--AND A SUSPECT--ARE NEEDED BEFORE THEY SAY ANYTHING ELSE.

we actually deliver these to cancer centers infusion centers all over the country.

NO ONE KNOWS THE POWER OF BELIEVING.....

    we want people to believe...

    MORE THAN IVELISSE PAGE

    10 33 14

i was told that the chance of survival was less than 8 percent, i think that was the rawest moment for me.

IN 2008. THE WIFE AND MOTHER OF FOUR....WAS DIAGNOSED WITH STAGE FOUR COLON CANCER.

    IT SPREAD TO HER LIVER.

    10 33 56

when i hit those moments where you think about wanting to be there for your kids graduations, wanting to be there for your daugter's wedding. all those moments flashing before you.

    IVELISSE MADE A BOLD DECISION.....

    TO FORGO CHEMOTHERAPY AND RADATION,.....

    FOR SOMETHING ELSE.

    ***(SOT IVELISSE)

    10 28 35

when i first heard about it, i was like, isn';t that what you see at christmas time? kissing under the mistletoe?

MISTLETOE EXTRACT..... INJECTIONS WIDELY USED IN EUROPE TO TREAT CANCER....

BUT *NOT* APPROVED HERE IN THE UNITED STATES.... AND USED "OFF LABEL" BY ONLY A HANDFUL OF PHYSICIANS.

    *(sot ivelsse)

    10 31 07

after we had all of the puzzle pieces together, we said, you know what, we're buying the boats, we're not looking back we're looking forward and we're going to attack this.

    1 56 24

At johns hopkins we've been trying many strategies to combat cancer.

ONCOLOGIST DR. LUIS DIAZ IS *NOT* THE DOCTOR THAT PRESCRIBES MISTLETOE.

BUT HE WAS WILLING TO KEEP AN OPEN MIND.

    1 58 14

    a lot of

people might say not scientific not a lot of research behind it but there's a lot of clinical research behind it .

we can't be so arrogant to think that we have all the answers because people are still dying.

AND WITH A 75 PERCENT CHANCE THAT HER CANCER WOULD RETURN....

    10 37 31

we went through the scan, no presence of cancer. went in three months later no presence of cancer. went in every three months , then every six months,

it will be five years this december 4th that i will be cancer free. ( keep up nodding)

IVELISSE PAGE WANTED TO SHARE HER TREATMENT.... WITH WORLD....

    10 25 49

i said, ok let;s do a clinical trial on it you do the research. and he was like, its not that easy. (laughs)

    1 57 42

I was like, Ivelisse, almost speaking slightly paternalisticly, this is an expensive process it takes millions of dollars.

    10 26 15

i said, that's ok. we're going to find another way.

AND SHE DID..... ALREADY ON HER WAY TO RAISING HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS THROUGH HER NON PROFIT FOUNDATION, BELIEVE BIG.

    1 58 08

Because of her efforts we're now going to test mistletoe.

    2 09 48

We don't think on its own it's going to cure cancer but we think it may be a good compliment to other standard approaches.

    **(sot ivelisse)

    10 43 30

so many lives are cut short and i really believe that everybody deserves to have the same opporuntiy that have.

EVERY DAY, IVELISSE PAGE TREASURES THE SIMPLE THINGS IN LIFE.

    ***(sot ivelisse)

    10 43 08

being able to hold my husband's hand or snuggle up with him at night. watch my kids play their favorite sport see them thrive those are the moments that are my highest. (nods)

I KICKER
    FINALLY TONIGHT,

LOUISA, Ky. (AP) -- For decades, the Big Sandy power plant near Louisa did more than keep the lights on. It supplied the Appalachian town with tax revenue and some of the best-paying jobs around as it converted coal into electricity.

Massive piles of coal are still stacked outside the Big Sandy complex in Lawrence County, but now its prospects are dim.

Kentucky Power Co. operates the two-unit Big Sandy complex and plans to close the larger 800-megawatt unit in 2015. Dozens of prime jobs will be lost in a county of 16,000 people with little other industry and a jobless rate around 10 percent.

The utility will pump more than $1.1 million into the area in coming years to try to soften the setback. The money is earmarked for economic development efforts, but local officials are skeptical the contribution will stimulate much growth.
