I BOONE SHOOTING
A FEUD BETWEEN NEIGHBORS LANDS ONE IN THE HOSPITAL AND THE OTHER CHARGED WITH TRYING TO KILL HIM.

DEPUTIES SAY 33-YEAR-OLD DALE EDWARD LOWTHER JUNIOR SHOT GARY HUBBARD THREE TIMES WHILE HE WAS DRIVING ON PRENTER ROAD THURSDAY NIGHT. THEY SAY THE NEIGHBORS HAVE A HISTORY OF FEUDING, ALTHOUGH THEY'RE UNSURE OF AN EXACT MOTIVE. LOWTHER HAD INITIALLY CLAIMED HUBBARD RAN HIM OVER WITH HIS JEEP, PROMPTING HIM TO FIRE 10 SHOTS, BUT DEPUTIES BELIEVE LOWTHER MADE THAT STORY UP EITHER IN AN ATTEMPT TO JUSTIFY THE SHOOTING,OR THROW OFF THEIR INVESTIGATION.

LOWTHER'S FAMILY SAYS THEY WITNESSED HIM GET HIT BY HUBBARD'S JEEP. HUBBARD IS IN CRITICAL CONDITION, LOWTHER IS IN JAIL FACING THREE TO FIFTEEN YEARS IN PRISON.
