Holmes County Sheet Cake You saw it Tuesday, June 27, 2006 Cake 1/2 cup butter 1/2 cup margarine 1 cup water 2 cups flour 2 cups sugar 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking soda 2 eggs 1/2 cup sour cream 1 tsp. vanilla Frosting 1/2 cup butter 1/4 cup milk 4 1/2 cups powdered sugar In a medium saucepan bring butter, margarine and water to a boil. Remove from heat. Combine flour, sugar, salt and baking soda. Pour hot mixture into mixing bowl. On low speed slowly add flour/dry mixture. Add eggs, sour cream and vanilla. Pour into greased jelly roll pan. Bake at 375° for 22-24 minutes. Frost when cake is cool To mix the frosting, combine butter and milk in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat.
