Cheese Fritters with Granny Smith and Red Onion Salad From Chef Gilbert Noussitou, Marriott Guest Chef You saw it Tuesday, June 6, 2000 during Good Morning West Virginia.
Ingredients
1. Work cheese in a bowl to form a paste 2. With the help of 2 tbsp, divide the goat cheese in 15 egg shape fritters 3. Coat the fritters by dipping them first in the flour, then the beaten egg, then the corn flake mixture. 4. Deep fry at about 350 degrees (F)
Instructions 1. Combine all ingredients 2. Adjust seasonings
1. Form a ring with a slice of long English cucumber (sliced lengthwise) 2. Place a few leaves of mesclun salad in the ring 3. Add 35g of apple salad (1/2 on the salad, 1/2 on the plate) 4. Place 3 goat cheese fritters on the salad 5. Suggested garnish: julienne beet, yellow pepper, chives
