Hi, there. Thanks for reading my bio.

I'm Katy Brown, one of the reporters for WCHS/WVAH. I was born and raised here in West Virginia. I'm a South Charleston High School graduate.

I moved to northeast Ohio after graduating from high school to attend Kent State University. There I studied broadcast news and international relations/political science. And after spending four years in the lovely Ohio snowbelt, you will never hear me complain about snow. Before I could graduate, I was required to do an internship. I did my internship here at WCHS. When the internship ended in August, I just couldn't leave. I'm beyond excited to be back home reporting.

If I'm not busy at work, I'm cheering on the Mountaineers, Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Cavaliers; hanging out with family and friends; or doing anything outdoors. I cannot stay still, so I'm constantly on the move, or at least try to.
