A.J. Good
I am entering my ninth year covering sports in my home state.
I joined WCHS back in 2004 as an intern, and the station hasn't gotten rid of me yet. I am a native of Winfield, home of the Generals. While at Winfield High, I was part of two AA state championship baseball teams. I also played football all four years. From there, I played college baseball at Evangel University in Springfield, Mo., and Muskingum University in New Concord, Ohio, where I graduated in 2007. After school, I joined the Eyewitness News sports team alongside Mark Martin and Josh Lewis. I am having a blast covering West Virginia and Marshall universities and all the high schools across our state. I live in Scott Depot with my wife, Brittany, who also is a graduate of Winfield High School. She also is a proud alumna of Marshall, where she was a member of the dance team for four years. She is more known as the granddaughter of the great coach Leon McCoy. The one thing you learn quickly about me is I am very passionate about sports, mainly the Chicago Cubs. Some (my wife) would say I'm obsessed, and they would be right. I named my dog after the field where the team plays (Wrigley), and I have a whole room in my house dedicated to the Cubs. Other than that, I love spending time at church, working out, food and spending time with family and friends. I love meeting new people and if you ever see me in public, don't hesitate to say hello.
