Ohio man builds covered bridge near home

CHARDON, Ohio
An Ohio man says he wanted a challenge, so he built an old-fashioned covered bridge in a secluded area near his house.



Don Prusha of Chardon says he built the bridge using wood from maple trees that blew down around his home. The bridge is 35-feet long and 16-feet high. It links a short turnaround to his gravel drive that stretches a quarter-mile from his house to a country road.

The 70-year-old Prusha says he needs a new project now, perhaps something a little more simple, such as building an end table or a coffee table.
