New Botox Labeling
New Warnings for Wrinkle Injections

New Botox Labeling The FDA makes some changes to some popular wrinkle fighters. The Food and Drug Administration has approved new warnings to be added to Botox and Myobloc packaging about the possibility of life-threatening breathing and swallowing problems.
The new warnings stem from reports of breathing problems and a "handful of deaths" among people using Botox or Myobloc for unapproved, off-label uses. The FDA says most of the deaths and problems were among children being treated for cerebral palsy-associated limb spasticity.

Preschooler Depression Study
Depression Can Affect Kids as Young as Three

Preschooler Depression Study When we think of depression we rarely think of preschoolers. But new research shows, the condition can affect kids as young as three. A new study out of Washington University in Saint Louis says depression among preschoolers appears to be a continuous, chronic problem. Researchers studied more than 300 three to six year old's. About a quarter of them met criteria for a major depressive disorder. When they followed up two years later, the kids diagnosed earlier were more like to still suffer the condition suggesting it can persist.

Happiness Days
New Study on Happiness
Happiness Days Is there a way to measure emotion? Researchers say, yes, if done on a large enough scale. They say Election Day 2008 was the happiest day in four years, while the day that Michael Jackson died was one of the unhappiest. Scientists at the University of Vermont used a web site to comb through over two-million blogs. Nearly ten-million sentences beginning with "I feel" or "I am feeling" were gathered from the blogs.
Then, it was onto forming a happiness scale. In the study, participants graded their reaction to over a thousand words including triumphant, paradise and hostage.
The findings are published in the Journal of Happiness Studies.
