Name Of Person Arrested In Connection With Shooting Near Pharmacy Released

SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. (Jeff Morris, Bob Aaron) -- A South Charleston man was arrested after police said he fired several shots at people near a pharmacy.

Brett Reynolds, 39, faces a wanton endangerment charge following an incident that took place about 6 p.m. Thursday near the Rite Aid on MacCorkle Avenue., according to a complaint filed in Kanawha County Magistrate Court.

South Charleston police said Reynold walked into the Rite Aid and he and his girlfriend, Sharica Duffey, confronted and then exchanged words with Lamar Mosley. Mosley told police that Reynolds left the store and waited for him to exit. When he left the store, Mosely said, Reynolds started swinging at him and the two men started to fight. Police said Antonio Braggs attempted to break up the fight, and Reynolds swung at Braggs, causing him to become involved in the fight.

Duffey told told police that at some point during the altercation, she and Reynolds got into their vehicle and locked the doors. Once they were in the car, she said, Reynolds grabbed a handgun from between the seat and middle console and then got out and fired about three rounds in the direction of Braggs and Mosley.

Police said they were able to find a Ruger P95 9mm handgun inside Reynolds' vehicle and three spent shell casings around the vehicle.



SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. (Mamie Buoy, Fallon Pierson) - One person has been arrested after police say he fired several gunshots near a busy pharmacy.

It happened at the Rite Aid on Maccorkle Avenue in South Charleston around 6:00 p.m. Thursday.

Police on the scene say three people got into a fight in the parking lot of the store. That's when one of them got a gun out of a car and fired several shots.

Nobody got hurt.

The suspect's name has not been released.
