Little Lynn Creek Road , Wayne County , West Virginia
Police in Wayne County made a grisly discovery this weekend in a missing person case.
The discovery of a body confirmed what neighbors said they suspected all along.
Police arrested Erica Streets, 31 and her boyfriend Daniel Kilpatrick, 51 over the weekend.
State Police troopers said Streets confessed to killing her ex, Julius Davis, who was reported missing 3 weeks ago.
Police said Streets told them she and Kilpatrick buried Davis on his own property on Little Lynn Creek Road.
Forensic teams dug up a body on Sunday, about 300 yards from their trailer.
“I knew it,” one neighbor said.
While the property belonged to Davis, who had children with Streets, she and Kilpatrick had been staying there.
A woman who babysat for Streets and Kilpatrick from the time Davis went missing spoke with Eyewitness News, but did not want to be identified.
"She would get mad at the kids because his picture was there,” she said of Streets. “Every time you would bring Julius up, she would flinch."
Troopers said the body was badly decomposed, and that they still need to make a positive identification.
They said it has been a big investigation and it is far from over.
Streets and Kilpatrick are set to have their preliminary hearing Tuesday.
Their kids are now in state custody, but will likely end up with other family members.
