Several car owners were totaling the damage after vandals keyed up cars in Charleston early Sunday.
Seth George and his family live on Somerset Drive in Charleston, a usually quiet neighborhood that became a target of late night vandalism.
“We were shocked,” George said. “We really didn't expect that in this neighborhood."
Several people along the 800 block of Somerset woke up Sunday morning to find their cars had been keyed.
“It's a little bit scary and frightening that someone is out here doing things like that,” Toni Harris, one of the victims, said. “Whatever you've left out here it belongs to you. That's the way you hope to find it."
Charleston police said at least four cars were damaged.
Harris thinks whoever did this simply walked along the street, keying each car they passed.
"I think, personally, that it's probably some little teenagers that need to be at home,” Harris said. “Their parents need to know what they're doing."
For now, police say they don't have any suspects.
"It's a game for them,” Harris said of the suspects. “How would they feel if the show was on the other foot?"
And as Charleston police up their patrols in the area and continue to investigate, Harris hopes the peace returns to the neighborhood.
"I just hope nothing else happens, because we certainly can't afford it," Harris said.
Earlier this month, South Charleston police said more than 70 cars tires were
slashed overnight on several streets.
Two suspects were arrested in those slashings. Police said they caught David Williams in the act and also arrested Jocelyn Melin for destruction of property.
And back in August, police said Clay Matheney, 18, shot out car windows in South Hills with a pellet gun.
Charleston police are trying to find the person who vandalized several cars overnight.
Dispatchers say several cars were keyed in the 800 block of Somerset Drive between Saturday night and Sunday morning.
So far, no arrests have been made.
We have a crew on the scene. Stay tuned to Eyewitness News for more information on this developing story.
