Pomeroy , Meigs County , Ohio
Deputies said four people were charged Thursday, and several meth labs were discovered in separate incidents in Meigs County.
Patricia McFall, of Portland and Whitney Laughlin of Ravenswood were charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine. Leslie Storms of Pomeroy was charged with possession of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and had a felony warrant out of Gallia County. Zachary Matthew of Gallipolis was charged with possession of drug abuse instruments.
The Meigs County Sheriff's Department responded to a traffic stop after the Ohio Department of Natural Resources said it discovered a mobile meth lab inside a vehicle. Deputies said when they arrived, they found four "one pot" meth labs, unspecified drugs and drug paraphernalia. McFall and Laughlin were arrested in that incident.
Deputies said in a separate incident, they made a traffic stop on State Route 124 and State Route 7 after the vehicle matched a description involved in a breaking and entering. After further investigation, deputies learned it was not the vehicle involved in the crime, but the driver had an outstanding felony warrant in Gallia County. Deputies said they found drugs, drug paraphernalia and a loaded gun inside the vehicle. Storms and Matthew were arrested in that incident.
After responding to a third incident, deputies said seven "one pot" meth labs were discovered at the Old Fort Meigs Campground. No one was arrested in that incident, but deputies continue to investigate.
