Parkersburg, Wood County , West Virginia
Nearly two weeks after two Parkersburg teens were last seen, police continue to ask for the public's help to find them.
Authorities said they are particularly concerned because one of the teens has a serious medical condition.
Megan Ellison, 16, and Joseph Adam Eklund, 18, both of Parkersburg, were last seen on the evening of Sept. 10, Parkersburg Police Detective Jay Corbitt said. Ellison suffers from epilepsy and requires medication, Corbitt said.
The teens last known location was Belle in Kanawha County, where they reportedly used a debit-credit card at a convenience store between 7:45 p.m. and 8:44 p.m.
Ellison is described as a white female, about 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighs 115 pounds and has blond hair with black hair underneath and blue eyes. Eklund, who goes by Joey, is a white male, about 6 feet 3 inches tall, weighs 200 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes.
Ellison and Eklund are believed to be driving a 2007 black Hyundai Sonata with a large dent in the passenger side door, Corbitt said. Eklund did not have permission to take the vehicle, which reportedly belongs to his grandmother, according to a release from the Parkersburg police. Ellison has been absent from school since she was last seen and has not been in contact with her parents.
Detectives are now seeking Eklund on charges of felony grand larceny and misdemeanor contributing to the delinquency of a minor, Parkersburg police Sgt. W.G. Collins said.
If you see Ellison or Eklund or have any information that could help police find them, call the Parkersburg Police Department and ask to speak with Corbitt at 304-424-8444. Anonymous tips can be submitted here.
