It is a classic children's tale. Adapted from the novel by Kenneth Grahame, "The Wind In The Willows" is a romp through the Wild Wood.
When Mole abandons his spring cleaning and decides to visit the river, he encounters Ratty and discovers a brand new world.
"We've really tried to put the audience in the show," Adam Bryan, the director said. "The set comes all the way around the audience, it's on three sides. I've taken out about 80 seats in an already small theater to put you in the show. The action is going to be almost on top of you."
As the pair journeys down the river, they encounter the wealthy Mr. Toad, whose passion for fast cars eventually leads to trouble which his friends must help him survive.
"Toad, he is, as his friends would probably say, he is a very good-natured creature," Daniel Calwell (Toad) said. "He's just, he's just very eccentric you know. It takes some getting used to with Toad."
Surrounded by forest friends and weasel foes, Mole, Rat, Toad and eventually Badger must find a way to clean up Toad's mess and save his beloved Toad Hall.
"The overall theme is to basically be yourself," John Johnson (Badger) said. "All through the thing we find out that Toad gets into so much trouble, but yet he's always Toad. He's always himself and I think the other characters compliment that."
