A trailer was destroyed by a fire in Salt Rock and another trailer was damaged when it was struck by a vehicle driven by a volunteer firefighter who was on his way to fight the blaze.
The trailer that was destroyed by the fire was in the 5400 block of Guyan River Road. The blaze broke out about 5:30 a.m.
Firefighters are trying to determine if anyone was home at the time of the fire. The Salt Rock Volunteer Fire Department responded. The state fire marshal's office has an investigator headed to the scene to try to determine the cause of the fire.
Meanwhile, a vehicle driven by a volunteer firefighter who was en route to pick up his gear at the department lost control of his vehicle and struck a trailer on Route 10, about a quarter mile from the fire. No injuries were reported. The trailer sustained damage to its front door and a ramp.
Cabell County firefighters were Tuesday morning on scene of a house fire on Guyan River Road in Salt Rock.
There is also a report of a car than has run into a house that same area of Guyan River Road.
Eyewitness News has a crew on the way to the scene and will bring you more information on both stories as it becomes available.
