Huntington , Cabell County , West Virginia
A Cabell County man facing dozens of sexual assault charges made a court appearance on Thursday.
Brandon Graham, 24, of Huntington was charged with 50 counts of sexual assault in the third-degree. On Thursday, a Cabell County Judge found probable cause against him in the case.
Police were investigating Graham after allegations that he sexually abused a 15-year-old boy, according to a criminal complaint.
State Police Cpl. M. Moore testified police responded to an anonymous tip about an inappropriate relationship going on between Graham and the boy. Graham allegedly participated in oral and anal sex with the teen for about six months in 2012.
"That's how we find out things, is either victims or people that witness or know something, or suspicious of something,” Moore said. “They can call us or Child Protective Services and let us know. That's what we're here for -to protect children. Everybody has to do their part."
Graham also faces charges in Boone and Nicholas counties for allegedly sending threatening Facebook messages to the victim.
A Cabell County man has been charged with 50 counts of sexual assault and is expected to be in court Thursday.
A criminal complaint alleges Brandon Graham, 24, not only sexual abused a 15 year-old boy dozens of times in his Cabell County home, but also threatened to kill the boy if he told anyone.
Graham was taken to the South Central Regional Jail. His sex crime charges stem from an investigation that started in Lincoln County regarding his alleged attempt to gain entry into a Sudafed registry company's computer system.
Police said, during that investigation, they found nude photos had been exchanged between Graham and the juvenile.
Police said Graham was not supposed to have contact with the juvenile until after the investigation, but court documents show he allegedly contacted the 15 year-old several times on Facebook and stated, “I know you have been telling them everything and, I swear to God, I am going to kill you. Do you understand me?"
Police said the Facebook message goes on to say, "After I kill you, I plan on ******** your lifeless body over and over again ... and burn you so there will not be any evidence left."
The complaint also states that Graham told police he allowed the victim to stay with him on weekends, but denied any sexual activity.
Graham will be in court at 11 a.m. Thursday for his preliminary hearing.
