Bradley, Raleigh County , West Virginia
Buses continued to roll in Monday as Boy Scouts were arriving for the first official day of the Boy Scouts of America's national 2013 Jamboree in Fayette County.
The Scouts were arriving in a parking area in Bradley off U.S. 19 in Raleigh County behind the Sunoco station to be taken to the $350 million camp site in Fayette County.
With this large of an operation, lots of extra hands are needed. The West Virginia National Guard, West Virginia State Police and troopers from Pennsylvania, Virginia and Kentucky were helping as a “city” of 40,000 takes shape.
Troopers were assisting with traffic control, and things appeared to be going smoothly Monday morning, but congestion was expected to pick up later in the day.
Visitors will be allowed Wednesday. There is a charge. Check jambo.com
