A Huntington beautification project is causing controversy among city council members.
Councilwoman Rebecca Thacker is concerned that rocks used in the project could become hazards for people with disabilities.
She has proposed that barriers be placed around the rocks or that they be removed altogether.
"I do appreciate the fact that they wanted it for beauty, but it wasn't well thought-out,” she said. “I know that they don't deal with some of the issues that some of the people in this city deal with. The ones that planned this don't deal with some of the issues that maybe I would or somebody else would."
