A day after heavy rainfall and strong winds caused damage in some areas, a flash flood watch was in effect for most of West Virginia and parts of Kentucky and Ohio.
Eyewitness News Meteorologist Brandon Stover said the flash flood watch for West Virginia would be in effect until Thursday morning. The flash flood watch for Kanawha County is in effect until noon Thursday. Stover said there is a possibility for scattered showers and a few strong storms that could bring gusty winds and heavy rainfall.
In Eastern Kentucky, the flash flood watch is in effect until midnight Friday.
Meanwhile, a flash flood watch is in effect in the following counties in Ohio until noon Thursday: Jackson, Lawrence, Gallia, Meigs, Washington and Vinton, Stover said.
