Charleston police will be handing out cold water and soft drinks Wednesday as part of a community relations effort called “Pay it Forward – Charleston.”
Led by Chief Brent Webster, several officers will go into the city’s communities and offer cold beverages to show appreciation for the citizens the department protects and serves and to challenge individuals and organizations to pay good gestures forward, according to a news release from the police department. The goodwill effort will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
