A teenage girl who said she was raped by two Ohio high school football players said she could not recall what happened the night of the alleged attack. The 16-year-old West Virginia girl took the stand Saturday in the trial of 17-year-old Trent Mays and 16-year-old Ma'lik Richmond. She said she remembers drinking at a party last August, leaving the party then throwing up later. She testified that the next thing she remembers is waking up naked in a strange house. The girl said she learned she was assaulted when she later read text messages among friends, and saw a photo of herself and a video made that night. The trial in juvenile court in Steubenville is in its fourth day. The two defendants maintain their innocence. Copyright 2013 Associated Press. All rights reserved. A friend of the accuser in the rape trial of two Ohio high school football players has testified that she grew angry at her friend over her behavior at a party the night of the alleged attack. West Virginia high school junior Gianna Anile said the accuser snapped at her when confronted about her drinking at the party and refused to stay behind with Anile and another friend. Anile also testified under questioning by defense attorney Walter Madison that the 16-year-old accuser had a history of heavy alcohol consumption. Anile's testimony was interrupted Saturday when Judge Thomas Lipps agreed to let her listen to her own recorded statement to police last summer to refresh her memory. Copyright 2013 Associated Press. The two teens accused of raping an allegedly drunk 16-year-old are high school football stars in Steubenville, Ohio. They watched as three other teenagers testified against them on Friday. In that testimony, the three said they saw Ma'lik Richmond, 16, and Trent Mays, 17, digitally penetrate the girl during a drive from one party to another. Under Ohio law, that act can constitute rape. Friday's three witnesses only testified after being granted immunity from prosecution. They initially tried to invoke the Fifth Amendment against self-incrimination. MORE NEWS FROM EYEWITNESS NEWS
