Don't text and drive. AT&T issued that warning Friday at the West Virginia Capitol.
The company set up a texting and driving simulator in the House of Delegates for lawmakers and staff to experience just how dangerous texting while driving can be. Organizers said the "It Can Wait" campaign helps reiterate just how deadly the consequences can be.
Organizers also said that drivers who text behind the wheel are 23 times more likely to get into a crash.
At Eyewitness News, we continue to encourage you to not text and drive. More than 1,100 people have already taken WCHS and WVAH’s NO TXT ZONE PLEDGE. You can take the pledge right now Just log onto wchstv.com or find the link on our Facebook page.
