A missing two-year-old was found safe after a search in the Hico area, according to a news release from Fayette County Sheriff Steve Kessler.
Police were notified at about 2:40 p.m. Saturday through a 911 call that the child was missing from a residence on Stringtown Road. It was believed that the child had been missing for more than an hour before the absence was discovered and the call was placed.
A sheriffs office bloodhound was imprinted with the child’s scent and tracked across a broad area of woods.
The child was quickly located safe and in good health and was returned home.
The sheriff’s office is not releasing the name of the family at this time.
