A snow squall was forecast Thursday morning for Kanawha County.
The National Weather Service said moderate snowfall may lead to a light coating on travel surfaces. The advisory was released about 9 a.m.

Rain mixing with snow over the next couple of days could make for slippery driving conditions in the Eyewitness News viewing area.
Chief Meteorologist Jim Barach said rain would turn to snow Wednesday night with about 1 inch of snow forecast. This could make driving conditions slippery Thursday. More snow is expected in the mountains.
On Thursday, similar conditions are predicted overnight with another 1 inch of snow on area roadways by Friday morning.
Scattered snow showers are predicted Saturday, while Sunday should be dry.
As far as temperatures, the high should reach 40 by Thursday. High temperatures for the weekend are expected to be in the 30s.
