A couple who earned their degrees at West Virginia University is now making things a little easier for today's undergraduate and graduate students.
Rob and Penni Roll have established the Facemire-Roll Scholarship with a $105,000 endowment to the College of Business and Economics.
Dean Jose Sartarelli said it fills a need because scholarships are often necessary to attract highly credentialed students.
Penni Roll is a Summersville native who serves as chief financial officer for Ares Capital Corp.
Rob Roll grew up in Fairfax, Va., and served as director of finance with nonprofit organizations before deciding to become a full-time father.
This is the couple's second gift to the school. In 2007, they created an endowment to help offset travel expenses for graduate accounting students looking to travel overseas.
