A Logan County equipment company that plans to expand has received a state loan.
Media outlets report the state Economic Development Authority approved an $885,000 loan Thursday to Holden-based Mining Repair Specialists.
The company specializes in rebuilding and manufacturing components for mining equipment. The company plans to use the loan to buy new equipment serving other industries and build a 20,000-square-foot building.
The company has 28 employees. The project is expected to bring nine new jobs.
The authority also approved a $78,000 loan for Philippi-based Blackheart International, a security and military tactical gear supplier. The company plans to buy a metal-cutting machine to make tactical gear and accessories.
