HEROIN SEIZURE Woman Faces Felony Drug Charge Following Scioto County Traffic Stop

A Dayton, Ohio, area woman was charged with possession of heroin following a traffic stop Wednesday night in Lucasville.
Porsha N. Smith, 24, was arrested about 11:30 p.m. after her vehicle was stopped for a window tint and registration violation, according to a news release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Troopers said they detected an odor of marijuana coming from the passenger compartment of the vehicle, and a search was conducted.
After questioning the driver, troopers said the driver advised she was concealing contraband. The driver voluntarily turned over 69 grams of suspected heroin with an estimated street value of more than $10,000 when she was taken to the Portsmouth State Highway Patrol Post, the release said.
