A new grocery store opened in Putnam County today.
Save A Lot opened where the old Foodland used to be in Scott Depot.
Roger Allen, the store's manager, said it's important to keep small locally owned stores in communities and said the location and lower prices offer his customers a great place to shop.
"Every customer has reacted positively," Allen said. "We've had an opportunity to talk to everyone that has walked into the door and, as they leave, they are all tickled to death to have it open again."
The store is known for its discounted groceries and fresh produce.
