Charleston East End Main Street has officially launched its new website, CharlestonEastEnd.com. The development of this site, a project that has been months in the making, was completed by MESH Design and Development of Charleston, according to a news release from East End Main Street. The group’s executive committee oversaw the project and interviewed and selected the developer after East End Main Street received a grant from the West Virginia Development Office to complete the project, which includes an interactive East End Bazaar registration and application process that will streamline and simplify the process of becoming a seller at the East End market. “This has been a very nuanced and intricate project that we took our time to complete, mainly because we wanted to make sure it looked perfect and conveyed the most accurate and positive image for our district,” Ric Cavender, executive director of East End Main Street, said. “The new website is a one-stop shop for everything one needs to know about the district and our organization. We want this site to function as the central information source for everything the district has to offer and the services we provide as an organization.” East End Main Street plans to continue to expand and add more content to the website in the coming weeks and will have a full, comprehensive business guide that will include names, addresses, and phone numbers for each business in the East End. The group plans to launch a business membership program in the coming months and will offer “enhanced” business listings for those businesses that sign up as members of the soon-to-be-formed 501 (c)(6) development and business association, directly under the East End Main Street umbrella.
