Two people are behind bars accused of making meth in a Cross Lanes home where a child lived.
Troopers say they got a tip that a car parked at a home in the 5100 block of Dublin Road had materials used to make meth inside of it.
When troopers got on the scene and knocked at the door of the home, they say they could see somebody inside and smell the drug, but nobody would answer. They say they had to go in for their own safety and to keep the suspects from destroying evidence.
When they went inside, they say the saw Mark Kessel and Loynda Boggess along with some materials used to make the drug in plain sight. They got a search warrant and found more materials used to make the drug and a stolen .22 caliber rifle.
Troopers say Kessel's daughter also lived in the home, but was not there at the time of the arrests.
Kessel and Boggess face several charges, including operating a meth lab, exposing children to meth and transferring or receiving stolen property.
