An elderly woman is dead after a car accident Friday night on the Nitro entrance ramp of I-64 Westbound.
Police say Tommy Jones, Jr., of St. Albans hit the side of a car driven by Andrew Lambert, of Poca.
Firefighters had to cut Lambert's car apart to get everyone out. Lambert, Jones and another passenger in Lambert's car were taken to CAMC General; but are expected to be okay. Another passenger, 69-year-old Cuba Lambert, of Poca, was taken to Thomas Memorial Hospital, where she later died.
Police say alcohol and the weather conditions are not a factor in the crash. Charges are pending on the outcome of the investigation.
