A woman was in critical condition and a man was arrested after troopers responded to a shooting in Johnson County, Ky.
Jeffrey Irvin, 43, of Paintsville was charged with assault. On Thursday, troopers responded to a home about 5 p.m. in Paintsville after a man had reportedly shot a woman, according to a news release from the Kentucky State Police. The woman was taken to St. Mary's Medical Center for her injuries. Her name is not being released at this time.
Irvin is being held at the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.
